Question:

A Senior Consultant primarily leads a client team. This involves strategic client consultation, planning all communication measures, budget management, coordinating tasks within the team, and providing the best possible support to team members.

Furthermore, Senior Consultants actively support the development and training of new colleagues. For instance, every trainee starting at GCI Health is assigned an experienced consultant as a mentor. This ensures that trainees are well-integrated into the company and the healthcare industry. Additionally, the Senior team handles a variety of other tasks: business development, new client pitches, discussions with applicants, and representing the company on the website and social media

Question:

You’re not left alone with a huge amount of responsibility overnight; instead, you’re well-prepared for it internally. Management is always there to support you. Furthermore, client work often takes place on a very partnership-oriented basis. We always seek solutions collaboratively. I never feel alone with impending challenges. We are a well-structured team and overcome challenges together. You can always rely on your colleagues. However, one should fundamentally be willing to take on responsibility, because as a Senior Consultant, you enjoy the trust of the management and benefit from significant leeway. Filling this requires corresponding job experience and the will to shape things.

Question:

It’s important to have an understanding of how processes function in healthcare companies to collaborate optimally with clients. Agency experience is also necessary, as the further development of the overall business is a significant part of the responsibility. Furthermore, strong project management skills, media literacy, and an intuitive feel for diverse types of writing are essential. The ability to both nurture and challenge every team member is also part of it. Many at GCI Health start as trainees or Junior Consultants. This allows them to develop over time all the skills required for a Senior Consultant role. I started directly as a Senior Consultant at GCI Health, bringing several years of professional experience. So, that option also exists.

Question:

Among our Senior Consultants, we have many parents. Some work full-time, others part-time. It’s certainly not always easy to reconcile the responsibility one has as a Senior Consultant towards clients and the team, with the needs and tasks of family life. However, at GCI Health, we have a great team, which helps us to mitigate challenges effectively. Everyone, including management, works together towards a common goal. The option to work remotely, along with flexible and individualized working models, creates additional leeway.

Question:

At GCI Health, no day is boring. We work for some of the world’s most influential, innovative, and successful healthcare companies. This always leads to exciting tasks. Being part of an international agency network brings global input and enables cross-border exchange. I particularly appreciate the flat hierarchies and targeted support for employees, ensuring that everyone at GCI Health has individual development opportunities.
